As a preventive measure to check/prevent the raging, fast and wide-spreading resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been constrained to impose 100% lockdown restrictions during nights and on Sundays. As such, today is a Sunday (25th April), the lockdown is under effect!
Cases will be booked on the citizens who violate the rules and restrictions and the vehicle used for travel may be confiscated!
As the resurgent coronavirus has been spreading fast and wide with increasing trend especially in Tamil Nadu, the State Government of Tamil Nadu imposed lockdown during nights (10.00 PM to 4.00 AM) from 20th April (Tuesday).
During the period from 10.00 PM to the next day morning 4.00 AM< when the lockdown is imposed, the public and private transport, rented autos, rented taxis, and private transport will not be permitted to operate.
Because of these lockdown restrictions, the long-distance buses are all operated during daytimes only! Vehicles carrying essential goods are permitted to operate during the nights. Petrol bunks are operating.
Similarly, factories/industrial plants producing essential goods are permitted to function 24 hours a day. It has been instructed that the employees working in these organisations MUST have their identity cards or permission letter.
100% Lockdown has been declared on all Sundays and holidays. Accordingly, today being the 1st Sunday after lockdown declaration, lockdown is being strictly adhered to throughout the State of Tamil Nadu.
Meat shops, fish market, vegetable shops, TASMAC shops, Cinema Theatres, and commercial complexes WILL NOT BE OPEN.
The Police have been instructed to take actions on the citizens violating the lockdown restrictions.
At the same time, permission has been given to carry out essential tasks such as the delivery of milk, delivery of newspapers, hospitals, medical testing centres, pharmacies, ambulances, fuel-carrying vehicles, and death vehicles.
