Public in TN behaving violently against the Corporation officials etc not adhering to COVID protocols

The officials have been strictly enforcing Covid-19 protocols due to a spike in the Coronavirus cases now and this has not gone down well with the public belonging to TN. The rise in temperatures plus Covid-19 fatigue etc has been irritating many people in TN. The senior citizens, businessmen and medicos etc who usually abide by rules are more irritated now and the officials have been at the receiving end now.
A video of a couple belonging to Delhi went viral on Monday and that video showed the couple�s aggressive behaviour towards officials. It is shocking to mention here that the couple was found to be misbehaving with the official when they were questioned about not wearing facemask.
In another incident that took place in Vellore in TN, 2 doctors attached to a private hospital were pulled up for not wearing face masks. The couple were asked to wear masks or pay a fine. This irritated them and they began arguing with the Vellore corporation officials and Mr. Sankaran, corporation commissioner of Vellore. The medicos demanded the officials to show them GO regarding wearing face masks. They were fined Rs 500 each for not following Covid-19 protocol.
There was a heated exchange of words between a hostel owner and a Corporation staff who came to collect swab samples for Covid-19 testing and this happened in Coimbatore. The hostel owner behaved in a rough manner with the official by snatching his mobile phone and throwing it away.
As per a senior police officer from Chennai, such conflicts were expected to happen as the public refused to cooperate. He threw light on how some people even attack the front line workers. He concluded that there were many assault cases recorded in this Coronavirus pandemic. Point is that when police personnel get informed then cases get registered and the department acts as per the provisions of the law.
