The recently announced by the State Government of Tamil Nadu � 100% lockdown imposition during nights and Sundays � comes into the effect from today (Tuesday, 20th April).
As per this, the public and private bus services will not operate. Further, the buses to other distract or states are arranged to be operated only during daytime.
The public is banned from visiting beaches, parks, and zoological parks. Restrictions have been imposed in the summer tourist�s spots such as Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, and others.
Hotels, teashops, vegetable shops, grocery shops, commercial complexes, showrooms, and large shops have to function entertaining only 50% customers and function only until 9.00 PM.
Permission has been given for up to 100 guests in functions such as marriages and theatres are allowed to operate with 50% capacity.
It has been announced that the rare no restrictions for all essential services and the petrol and diesel, bunks will function as usual.
Police personnel will be deployed on monitoring the implementation of lockdown during the nights. Temporary monitoring centres have been set up in the markets, bus stations, railway stations, religious spots and other important places!
