Micro plans for managing COVID infection - Priority based vaccines in TN

For extensive containment measures and control measures, the state health department has been working on a micro plan now. The main objective behind this would be to bring down the number of fresh cases in TN. In those districts in TN with surge in the cases, targeted and priority based vaccination would be rolled out. The government hospitals in Chennai are now facing huge pressure due to a spike in the Covid-19 infection now.
To overcome this, additional beds have been added to the Covid-19 ward at the RGGGH is well known. On Sunday, 28TH March 2020, the heath secretary Mr. Radhakrishnan inspected the facilities and arrangements at the ward and hinted about phased containment and vaccination that has been planned across TN. He later spoke about how the officers have been asked to work on a micro plan for management of cases in the containment zones.
It is learnt that in case of any surge in the Covid-19 cases in any district the health department has been planning on targeted vaccination and priority based vaccination to all. Lack of adherence to the safety measures has led to the sudden increase in the cases now in the districts like Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram etc.
