For all these days, the prices of fuels like petrol and diesel have been increasing and this has made the lives of many difficult. Now, the consumers could feel relieved.
Yesterday, 24th March, the prices of fuels got reduced slightly and the prices of both petrol and diesel went down by 16 paisa per litre. From Rs 93.11, the price of petrol came down in Chennai to Rs 92.95 per litre. From Rs 86.45, the price of diesel came down to Rs 86.29 per litre in Chennai.
The superb piece of information is that the prices of the fuels would go down further in the coming days and this would be due to the decrease in the international prices of crude oil. It must be noted that 24 days back the last time the fuel prices were changed. The decrease in the prices of fuels has made many happy now in Chennai. As per a resident of Besant Nagar, it was a huge relief to see the prices of fuels reducing after a long time.
It was later brought out by a retailer that a decrease in the fuel rates has resulted in loss as the fuel was purchased for a higher rate.
