Number of coronavirus confirmation tests per day to be increased in the districts of Chennai and Coimbatore!

The Secretary for Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, J. Radhakrishnan informed that it has been decided to increase the number of coronavirus confirmation tests per day conducted in the centres in the districts of Chennai & Coimbatore.
The Health Secretary was participating in a special awareness programme conducted at the Chennai Metro City Stanley Medical College on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day today (23rd March, Tuesday). After the event, the Health Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government had a session with the press reporters.
He shared that all the district collectors and commissioners have been instructed to increase the number of corona infection testing centres.
He further informed, on a single day yesterday alone (Monday, 22nd March) a total of 1.5 Lakhs citizens got vaccinated. He informed that it was established that the spread was faster among the family members - when 1 member of the family gets infected, it immediately affects the other family members and infects them as well! He informed that infection clusters were identified in 13 places in the Chennai Metro City including Adambakkam, Nanganallur, and Kodambakkam.
