Chennai Corporation staffs to go door-to-door to make more residents to get COVID vaccination

The GCC has been given an opportunity to ramp up its Covid-19 vaccination drive!!
The increase in the Coronavirus cases in Chennai is a major issue now and for this reason the field staff of GCC would now urge more people to get vaccinated. This was pointed out by a senior officer belonging to GCC. He added that many persons were employed for poll duty and for spreading awareness about voting and these persons would now go door-to-door to convince people to get Covid shots. It is now said that vigorous campaigns to increase the vaccination figures have been going on.
The number of active cases has gone above 2000 in Chennai city on Monday evening and GCC would be releasing zone wise details on Tuesday. Till now, GCC has vaccinated as many as2.82 lakh people in Chennai. Point is that on Saturday, more than20000 got their first dose of Covid-19 vaccination.
