Rise in no. of bank employee

The five top banks in the country are leading the new trend of raising the number of personnel. An analysis of the annual staff details of ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were conducted, in which, it was shown that the increase in hiring has improved employee productivity.
However, the staff costs have also increased. In the fiscal ending March 31st, 2013, the headcount of the banks had increased by 15823. HDFC Bank had the highest total headcount with 69065. Axis Bank had the highest increase in headcount by 6163 persons.
