Prospects for rain in the Tami Nadu Coastal Districts

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rain in the next 24 hours in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
In a notification regarding this released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
�There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in the next 24 hours in the coastal districts and Puducherry & Karaikkal. This is mainly due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere
� 3rd January � Prospects for mid to medium rain in the coastal and interior districts, Puducherry & Karaikkal.
� 4th January - Prospects for mild to medium rain in one or two places in coastal districts
� 5th & 6th January � Prospects for rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the coastal districts, other Tamil Nadu Districts, Puducherry & Karaikkal.
As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few paces.�
