One-of-its kind - 70 bed emergency ward in Stanley Hospital in Chennai to be opened soon

For providing fast treatment for the trauma and accident cases, Stanley Government Hospital in Chennai would be set up. By the next week, this exclusive ward would be opened by the health minister Mr. C. Vijaya Bhaskar. This was brought out by some senior doctors belonging to this hospital.
Providing treatment on arrival:
A senior doctor pointed out that this one-of-its kind emergency ward would provide treatment to those with strokes, heart attacks and who have severe injuries due to accidents etc. The objective behind this exclusive ward is to provide treatment on arrival.
Information is that the ambulances would be provided with an exclusive phone number to intimate about the arrival of the patient. For the smooth entry and exit of ambulances from this hospital discussions were carried out with the traffic police department also. A doctor threw light on how in north Chennai smooth entry and exit would not be possible due to heavy traffic.
