Which is going to be the new 38th District of the State of Tamil Nadu� Yes! It is Mayiladuthurai! A new district, Tami Nadu�s 38th District to be formed!
Quite naturally, the citizens/residents of this region are ecstatic on this news!
Over the last decades, new districts have been formed gradually for better administration and related facilities. As such, a new district, Mayiladuthurai is being formed tomorrow (Monday, 28th December)!.
This new district is formed separating from the Nagappattinam District. This new |Mayiladuthurai district will have 4 revenue Divisions.
The Chief Minister of Tami Nadu, E. Palaniswamy, had earlier announced in March in the Legislative Assembly that this new district of Mayiladuthurai will be formed. Subsequently an official Government Order was released in April regarding this.
Further, a special officer, Lalitha had been appointed to define the boundaries of this new district. Srinath had been appointed as the Superintendent of Police.
Presently, all tasks to be taken up for the new district has been specified and ready to be taken up. As such, the new District Mayiladuthurai will be formed and formally declared tomorrow (Monday, 28th December).
It may be noted that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy and the Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam are participating in the inaugural function.
It is also noteworthy that it has been a very long-felt desire f the people of this region for the formation of this new district.
