Till now, 1.53 lakhs students have registered online for engineering admissions in TN

The craze for studying engineering courses won�t go down!!
This has been brought to light now. In the state of Tamil Nadu, more than 1.35 lakh students have registered for the engineering admissions online.
It is worth mentioning that the number of students who are seeking admissions to various arts and sciences colleges have crossed 3.5 lakh. There has been a steady increase in the number of applicants and this has been according to a senior official belonging to the DOTE or Directorate of Technical Education. More than 1 lakh students have applied since 1st of August.
As on 3rd of August 2020, more than as many as 135001 candidates have registered online. This was as per some sources belonging to the directorate. Information is 1.06 lakh have paid their registration fee out of a total of 1.35 lakhs applicants. It was pointed out by an official that since just 10 days were left and more than 1.5 lakhs students would register by filling the online application for engineering admissions.
In this 2020, more number of students have registered for the engineering admissions and that was due to the fact that the union government had not yet announced the schedule for various competitive exams and this includes JEE and NEET etc.
Every day, nearly 20000 online applications have been received from the students seeking admissions in the government and government aided arts and science colleges and polytechnic colleges etc.
