In TN, android tablets to help the road transport officers and vehicle inspectors in issuing FC for vehicles

Soon, there would not be any irregularity in issuing fitness certificates or FC by the vehicle inspectors and by road transport officers in Tamil Nadu.
Fitness certificate or FC is very important for the vehicles that run on the roads and this certificate shows the state or condition of the vehicles. Irregularities must not be there in this.
Android tablets would be given to these road transport officers and vehicle inspectors to avoid irregularities. While inspecting the vehicle for issuing FC, these android tablets could be used to click the pictures of the vehicles. In the state of TN, the distribution of these android tablets has begun and this has been confirmed by some sources belonging to the transport department.
Android tablets have been distributed in the Coimbatore zone covering Coimbatore, Tiruppur and The Nilgiris districts. Truth is already android tablets have been issued to the inspectors and RTO’s in the central, west, north , south Pollachi and Mettupalayam RTO’s.
It is possible for the motor vehicle inspector with the help of an android tablet to access the FC application through Vahan website and take pictures of the vehicles in 5 different angles and upload it along with the application. Processing of the application would be carried out and then FC would be issued.
Information is by means of android tablet it would be easy to maintain the records of the vehicles. As per an official, at the time of renewal of FC, it would be possible to access the vehicle`s FC along with the pictures of the vehicle.
It was mentioned by a truck driver that the provision of tablets would remove irregularities in the FC issuance. He was happy regarding the fact that the condition of the vehicle would be viewed online. The charges of the inspectors issuing FC would not be there with the use of tablets.
