TN tests 48,000 samples for Corona infection in a single day, a formula worked out

Every day, 48,000 samples get tested for Coronavirus infection in the state of Tamil Nadu. This has been the highest amongst all the states in India. This was as per the CM of TN, Mr. E. Palaniswami.
The chief minister informed about the number of tests that have been conducted every day to the PM of India, Mr. Narendra Modi over the telephonic call. To know about the various measures taken by the TN government in containing COVID-19 infection plus on the medical treatment provided to the affected persons, PM spoke to the CM of TN.
For ensuring normalcy in TN, Mr. E. Palaniswamy has assured the PM of India that TN was taking all the steps. It must be noted that TN was going all out to contain the infection spread.
On Saturday, the number of tests conducted per day crossed 50,000 and on Sunday the number exceeded 52,000 per day in TN. Senior government officials spoke about how from the beginning aggressive testing has been carried out in TN. This has been responsible for the testing numbers going above 50,000 per day.
He assured that this aggressive testing would continue in TN. Not only the testing has been done on the front-line workers but also on the other segments of the society and there has been fair distribution of testing in TN.
Information gathered is the focus has been on increasing the number of fever camps plus in identifying those with symptoms besides following all ICMR protocols.
For addressing the problem, effective controls in the containment zones have been focussed. In Chennai city, the number of tests per day has crossed 13,000 and in the districts, the number of tests conducted is increasing now. A formula has been worked out in TN to know about the number of daily tests conducted for Coronavirus.
