More than 4 lakhs persons are in home based quarantine in Chennai city, many disappear

A total of more than 8lakhs persons have been put under the home quarantine by GCC in Chennai till now. The news now is there are more than 4lakhs persons currently under the home quarantines in Chennai city.
The data from the GCC revealed that more than 4.24lakhs persons under home quarantine in Chennai. Point is as many as 1.07 persons have given their swab samples for testing. For issuing their samples for testing, overall 1.98 lakhs persons were home quarantined and on 15th July as many as70129 persons have completed their home quarantine period.
An official belonging to GCC expressed his views about the home quarantined persons in Chennai. He mentioned that 11,810 persons have given their samples for testing on Wednesday alone and they were sent for home based quarantine.
Until the results come out, these persons along with their family members would be under home quarantine and if the sample tests positive then these persons would continue to be in home quarantine.
As many as1.58lakh persons out of the total of 4.24 lakhs persons are contacts of the infected persons and 1.9 lakhs persons are Coronavirus positive patients. It is now said that till Wednesday as many as3.8 lakh persons have completed their home quarantine.
It is known that the civic body sends asymptomatic positive patients to home based quarantine if their houses have a separate room and toilet facility. The restrictions would not be there once they finish their home quarantine.
It is surprising to note that persons who provide their samples for testing at various government labs, corporation fever camps plus in other private labs etc go untraceable.
This inspite of the fact the GCC insisted labs to collect their complete contact details. As many as 160 persons out of total 11539 persons who have given their samples for testing have gone untraceable.
