Due to the lockdown conditions imposed throughout the country the train services have been cancelled from 25th March. Just for the sake of the migrant workers returning to their native places, some special trains were operated.
After this, the train services which had been cancelled due to the raging coronavirus pandemic and the preventive measure of lockdown throughout the country, trains resumed in some selected routes from 1st June.
In this situation, giving due consideration to the current status of the increasing intensity/impact of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic across the country despite all the precautionary measures, it was announced that the passenger trains, express trains, and suburban trains were all cancelled until 12th August.
It was further informed that full refund will be given for the tickets booked between 1st July and 12th August.
At the same time, Indian Central railway Ministry has announced that there would be no changes in the presently operated 200 special trains.
