Those with mild symptoms would be treated in this new centre in Ambattur. It was mentioned that beds were ramped up at Anna University or AU also for Coronavirus patient treatment.
Guindy based AU has given a Centre for Excellence and Silver Jubilee building for housing Covid-19 patients and 1500 beds would be set up in the university. Every day, the discharge rate has been smooth and due to this many beds are available. The point person appointed would sort out the issue regarding the availability of water supply in these care centres. In Chennai, there are now 55 care centres with a total of 17500 beds available for Covid-19 patients.
