The two mantras that are now chanted by the residents of Chennai are ‘Fear’ and ‘Caution’ as the lock down period is coming to an end.
As per Mr. Ramabadran, chairman of Mango Capital, prevention is better than cure and the classification of the colored zones must be followed strictly. He spoke about how the restriction on inter-zone movement should be strictly implemented. Point is people must realize the importance of self regulatory order and implement it.
It was mentioned by IT professional of Oorapakkam that he would be happy if the lock down ends on 3rd May 2020 as announced earlier. He added that lifting the lock down completely would not be possible due to increase in the number of Corona virus positive cases. Individuals must take all the steps to protect themselves, their family etc. .
According to Mr. Sadasivan, working from home is safe and better option and it must be continued for some more time. He explained about how private companies must not do any pay cuts for the employees for another 6 months. With social distancing measures, the public transport must be started on possible routes. He concluded that just similar to mobile vegetable shops mobile medical pharmacies must be considered for the sake of needy and elder persons.
Another Chennai resident Vishalakshi expressed her thoughts and spoke about how until last week she thought Chennai was doing well in the lock down time and Covid-19 was controlled. She added that opposite had happened and Chennai has now got many Corona virus positive cases.
