The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy has released an order extending the present concessions offered to the farmers and the traders for another month.
A notification released by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State mentions:
The State Government of Tamil Nadu had announced earlier that the farmers need not pay rental charges for 30 days for using the government-owned modern hi-tech godowns to store their products.
This concession is now being extended for another month.
It had also been announced that the farmers need not pay 5% interest for the loans taken for the procurement of seeds. This is also being extended for another month.
Usage charges are presently paid by the farmers while storing their products of vegetables and fruits in the special air-conditioned godowns owned by the government. In this regard, it had been announced earlier that the farmers need to pay for this and the state government will absorb this cost. Now, this concession is also being extended for another month.
Besides the above concessions, the presently collected 1% market charge from the farmers is also being cancelled for 1 more month.�
