The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy, has assured that the doctors and other monitors on coronavirus-related activities need not be anxious and the necessary protection will be given in full to them by the State Government of Tamil Nadu!
In a notification in this regard, he has informed:
“The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that the dead bodies of those who died affected by the coronavirus would be cremated or interred while fully following the required protections and guidelines.
However, the incident relating to the cremation/interring the dead body of those in the medical profession dealing with coronavirus, getting infected, and losing their precious lives causes acute disappointment and anxiety!
I sincerely extend my sympathies and regrets to the families, near and dear of those who lost their lives.
The public must fully cooperate in the honorable duty of according the right respect and honors to those who lost their lives while on medical duty to save patients in an utterly unselfish way!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu will ensure that such incidents will not be repeated.
Doctors and other related medical staff need not worry or be anxious! I assure that the State government of Tamil Nadu is wholly on your side!”
