Police Commissioner warning: Goondas Act if any objections to interring dead bodies!

The Chennai Metro City Police Commissioner A. K. Viswanathan has warned that those who object to interring of dead bodies (death due to coronavirus infection) may be arrested and imprisoned under the Goondas Act.
In a recent incident, some people had objected to interring the dead body of a doctor who had died after coronavirus infection. Enquire cases have been filed against the people who objected. The Police Commissioner A. K. Viswanathan informed that the cases have been booked against 90 people under 6 sections of crime.
