The central government has informed that on a single day yesterday (Sunday, 19th April), 1553 persons have been confirmed with coronavirus infection and that 36 persons have died.
The Joint Secretary of the Central Ministry/ Department of Health, Lav Agarwal, shared:
�On a single day yesterday (19th April), 1553 persons have been confirmed with coronavirus infection. 36 persons have died. With this, the number of persons affected has increased to 17,265.
There have been no cases of infection in 3 places in India over the last 28 days - Mahi (Pondicherry), Kodagu (Karnataka) and Bowri Garwal in Uttarkhand.
Before the lockdown, the impact of coronavirus doubled in 3 days. Now it takes more days for the same!�
Joint Secretary of the Central Ministry/Department of Home Affairs, Buniya Salila Srivastava, informed:
�We have written a letter to the State government of Kerala, expressing our concern over the restrictions declared by that State Government. The State Government of Kerala has given some restrictions which are against the Major National Disaster Act.�
Raman R. Gangakedkar informed:
�Some complaints have been received from West Bengal that some PCR equipment is not functioning. However, the USA has approved this equipment. They are of good quality. They should be maintained under a temperature of 20 Degrees Celsius. Otherwise, perfect results cannot be obtained.�
