The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has decided to trifurcate the Chennai Metro City based on the extent of coronavirus infection status. Lockdown rules will be stringently applied in the most affected regions. It is a fact that there is an increase in the number of infections with every passing day in Chennai Metro City. Really, Chennai is on top of the list with the most affected persons in the state of Tamil Nadu!
As on day-before-yesterday (Tuesday, 15th April), 222 persons have been affected with coronavirus in Chennai.
No one has been confirmed with coronavirus in Manali and Ambattur.
Based on the above extent of virus cases, GCC has decided to trifurcate and implement the lockdown rules stringently.
It is gathered that the Royapuram zone will be brought under complete control and strict monitoring of lockdown imposition.
It is expected that lockdown conditions will be strictly monitored in the areas of Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar, Kodambakkam, Anna Nagar, and Tondiarpet zones.
It is gathered that some extent of relaxation will be given in the other area. Presently, the state government of Tamil Nadu has trifurcated the state in 3 colors - red, orange, and yellow. Similarly, GCC is also planning to trifurcate the Chennai Metro City and implement control.
