In Chennai, drones helping policemen in maintaining social distancing among the residents

Social distancing has become very important in this time of Corona virus. People have been advised to stay away from others or maintain some distance so that the Covid-19 doesn�t spread from one to another easily. This lock down period due to Corona virus has been a boon for the TN state as it is now utilizing the technology aided surveillance.
In Chromepet in Chennai, is located popular MIT or Madras Institute of Technology. Truth is some students belonging to aerospace engineering of MIT have developed a drone that could keep an eye on those who step out of their homes unnecessarily.
A police official brought out how drone has been used to check social distancing among the people. Information collected is near Tambaram market an elderly person tested positive for Corona virus. Every person belonging to that street was checked by the health staffs.
These drones have been used to monitor social distancing in that area. He then highlighted about how the street was blocked and the residents were not allowed to step out even to buy essentials until further orders received from the authorities.
It is worthy to mention that drones one with speaker and other with camera have been put to great use and there would not be any need to have personnel to monitor the area. By this, the risk of getting Covid-19 infection would be avoided. To watch those who step out of their houses, camera fitted in drone is playing its role and speaker fitted drone is being used to warn the residents.
