In Tamil Nadu, crimes have come down in this lock down period

At the time when Corona virus positive cases are on the rise in TN, here comes some good news for the people belonging to the state of TN.
It is now brought out that the crimes curve has been flattened in TN at this time of lock down to prevent spreading of Covid-19. In most districts belonging to Tamil Nadu, no violence or break out were reported in this lock down as the criminals were staying indoors mostly.
The residents have been staying in their houses and the police personnel have been doing their jobs efficiently outside on the roads. As a result, the criminals and robbers were not able to do their work.
Since 25 March 2020, no single case of house break-in or theft has been reported in 8 rural districts of the zone and other offenses were only negligible. This was according to a senior police officer belonging to western part of TN.
He explained about how less movement of vehicles in the lock down period has resulted in just one fatal accident in Krishnagiri district. Point is since January till the lock down beginning date there were 388 fatalities in the western region.
Child sexual harassment cases that used to be high in the normal times were also reduced in this lock down period and just 3 cases were registered under POSCO.
It was later explained by Mr. K. Periaiah, IG belonging to West Zone that more policemen on the streets plus closure of borders have resulted in the significant drop in the crimes in the lock down time.
