Following the confirmation of the coronavirus infection spreading in Thiruvallur, various preventive measures on war-footing have been initiated by the Thiruvallur District Administration.
In this situation, a review meeting was conducted at the office of the Thiruvallur District Administration presided by the State Minister for Tamil Nadu Growth and Archaeology, K. Pandiyarajan.
Tashildar Vijayakumari, Commissioner Santhanam, Police DSP Gangadharan, City Police Inspector Ravikumar, Former City Council President Commando Bhaskaran, Nesan, Lion Ramesh, and other officers participated.
The Minister enquired about the various preventive measures as per the directives of the Tamil Nadu State Government undertaken by the District Administration Officers. After this, the minister had a session with the press.
`Once it was confirmed that the coronavirus infection was detected in the central area of Thiruvallur, as there are strong prospects of the infection spreading 7 km around that area, various preventive actions such as spraying disinfectants and keeping affected persons in isolation, etc., have been undertaken on a war-footing jointly by the Department of Health and the district administration.
The lockdown will continue until 14th April. The rumour that the coronavirus spreads through the people of a specific religion is utterly baseless!
Immediate stringent action will be taken on those who spread false rumours!
It is best to avoid making the news-bits on various social network media viral!
