A new App for visually-impaired to identify currency note denomination!

The Reserve Bank of India has introduced a new mobile App facilitating the visually impaired people to identify the denomination of the currency notes.
This App has been named �MANI� = Mobile Aided Note Identifier.
Using this App, visually-impaired persons can identify the denomination of the currency note. This App can be used even without internet facility.
Once the currency note is scanned through the camera, the denomination of this currency note will be announced through the speaker!
This App can function both on IOS and Android platforms.
However, it is not possible to identify whether the currency is legal!
The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Sakthikantha Das launched this App on last Wednesday ( 1st January, Wednesday).
It may be noted that there are around 80 lakhs visually-impaired persons in India.
