Is there anyone who doesn�t know what an amla is?
In Tamil amla is known as �Nellikaai�, in Telugu, it is called as �Usiri� etc.
Otherwise known as Indian gooseberry, amla belongs to the family named �Phyllaanthaceae�. Small to medium-sized amla trees would have simple leaves. It must be taken into account that the flowers are greenish-yellow and the fruit is spherical in shape and light greenish-yellow in colour.
In the winter season, it is important that we must eat amla for these reasons.
