Awareness about fire and safety measures

The Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services (TNFRS) Department is holding a �Fire Safety Week� between April 14th and 20th. This is to spread awareness among factory workers, hutment dwellers, residents and students. �Mock drills, demonstrations and rallies are being held across the city� We are distributing pamphlets at bus stands, schools, factories and hutment areas offering safety tips on �dos and don�ts. LPG cylinders and AC units pose fire risks�, said Station Fire Officer (Sembium) D Prudentius.
The fire fighters are adopted a slogan �Neruppu yendrum nerupputhan. Nanban alladhu pagaivan � ungal mudivu� (Fire is Fire. Friend or Foe � We Decide).
