Rajiv Gandhi entrepreneur for the Swedish aircraft firm, say cable

A 1975 cable from the US Embassy in New Delhi has claimed that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was an �entrepreneur� in the Swedish company Saab � Scania and was involved in the transaction between the company and India involving Viggen fighter aircraft. The cable has also claimed that there is �no additional information to either refute or confirm the above information�.
The cable was published by The Hindu in association with Wikileaks, and read, �Swedish emboff has informed us that main Indian negotiator with the Swedes on Viggen at New Delhi end has been Mrs. Gandhi`s oiler (sic) son, Rajiv Gandhi. Latter`s only association with the aircraft industry (to our knowledge) has been as a pilot for Indian Airlines and this is the first time we have heard his name as entrepreneursr�.�
