W.V. Raman is Kings XI Punjab Assistant Coach

W.V. Raman, former batsman for India and Tamil Nadu captain, has been appointed as the Assistant Coach for the IPL team Kings XI Punjab. The team is promoted by a consortium that includes industrialists Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman and film actress Preity Zinta among others. Speaking to the media, the team�s COO Col. Arvinder Singh said, �We are certain that he (Raman) shall bring another dimension to the team`s coaching staff. The move would help the players to perform to the best of their abilities. We wish him all the best for the upcoming IPL Season.�
Reacting to the news, the batsman said, �I thank the Kings XI Punjab management for providing me with this wonderful opportunity. I am extremely delighted to join Kings XI Punjab as the Assistant Coach. I am looking forward to helping out the team achieve its objectives for the upcoming IPL Season. Kings XI Punjab has the right mix of experienced as well as young players supported by a world class coaching staff and I shall do my best to get the best out of the players.�
