The election campaign in Tamil Nadu concludes this evening (16th April)

As per the Election Rules and Regulations, the campaigning for the elections concludes this evening by 6.00 PM (Tuesday, 15th April).
The elections for 39 parliamentary seats and 19 assembly seats (by poll) in Tamil Nadu and 1 parliamentary seat and 1 assembly seat in Puducherry are scheduled to be conducted in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on 18th April (Thursday). The political leaders of the alliance parties have been campaigning vigorously for the contestants in their respective alliances. The independent contestants have been campaigning on their own.
As per the election rules and regulations, the campaigning must be stopped 49 hours before the polling.
Accordingly, the campaign in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry gets concluded by 6.00 PM this evening (Tuesday, 16th April).
