Parents of agitating students worry

As students from educational institutions across the State protest Lankan war crimes, their parents are worried that it may have an adverse affect on them.
Says one parent, �The anti-Lankan agitations led by students have a strong political backing; in my opinion, they have been vastly exaggerated and blown out of proportion.
Did we have such protests when innocent Tamils were killed during Rajiv Gandhi�s assassination or when one of our Jawans� head was severed by the Pakistani army? What if something untoward were to happen to the students? Will those at the helm of such causes be able to support them then?�
Another parent says, �We invest in our children to see them successful, so that they have colourful careers; it is only apt that they fulfill our desire. Such protests are for politicians who desire to extract mileage out of it. They would certainly not support students while they go in search of employment.�
