Water supply to be cut in Alandur tomorrow

On Friday morning, the water supply in Alandur and surrounding areas will be stopped, and the same shall resume on Saturday morning, as works are to be done for pipe realignment.
Official metro water release in this regard states that realignment of pipe shall take place starting at 9 am on Friday (tomorrow) so as to facilitate the foot overbridge works for CMRL construction. Hence, there will be stoppage of water supply for Alandur at surrounding areas.

- Kannabiran Kovil Street
- Few parts of Pallavaram
In this realignment work, there will be 750mm of pipe likely to get realigned for constructing foot overbridge along Alandur metro rail. On the same day (Friday) at 10 pm, the works shall get wrapped up and water supply shall resume on Saturday, officials say.
Sufficient supply storage
The metro water officials have requested the public to store necessary amount of water to cope with the supply stoppage.
