Doubling of Sriperumbudur ďż˝ Guduvanchery line in 2013-14

The Indian Railway budget submitted for the year 2013-14, has proposed the doubling of the Sriperumbudur-Guduvanchery line with a spur to Irungattukottai-Avadi and Attipattu-Ennore fourth line.
The budget which had kept in mind the city�s mushrooming population had announced to upgrade the rakes of 30 EMU services from 9-car formations to 12-car formations.
The budget also has plans to equip major stations with lifts, escalators, wheel chairs and Brailley display boards for the disabled travelers.
