No new railway terminals in Chennai

The proposal to convert the stations in Royapuram and Tambaram remained a distant dream as it was overlooked in the 2013 Railway Budget.
It was proposed that the Tambaram railway station be converted into a terminal so that south-bound trains could be connected to Egmore through Tambaram, resulting in lesser traffic in the Egmore terminal.
