As the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert warning to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on 7th October (tomorrow), the Indian Weather Research Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy rains for 5 continuous days in these places.
Further, it is informed that tere are prospects of the northeast monsoon rainy season to commence on 8th October.
In this situation, the Indian Weather Research Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy rains with thunder for 5 continuous days in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Lakhdivs. There are prospects of very heavy rains in the mountain range areas of Tamil Nadu and the adjacent areas in Kerala.
Meanwhile, the depression zone formed over the Southeast Arabian Sea will transform into a deep depression zone in the next 24 hours and convert into a cyclonic format and drift towards the northwest direction to Oman coasts.
The weather bureau has informed that due to the above reasons, the Arabian Sea will be turbulent and coastal breeze will be of high speeds. So, it has warned the fishermen of these areas not to venture into the sea,
