This is the month of June and the academic year 2018-19 has just started in the schools in the state of Tamil Nadu. School education minister Mr. K. A. Sengottaiyan first announced the schedules of state board examinations and made huge noises. Now this education minister spoke about how the results of plus 2 examinations for the academic year 2018-19 would be declared a month in advance and would be on 19th of April 2019.

The plus 2 board examinations would commence from 1st of March 2019 and would complete on 19th of March 2019 is known.

The school education minister later spoke about how the four exam days for classes of plus 1 and plus 2 would be reduced now as the language and English papers would be reduced to as single paper from the academic year 2018-19. This would lessen the burden of the teachers plus it would help the students to prepare well for the important NEET as the students have got lots of time at their disposal.

While consolidating the plus 2 marks this year, government would not take into account the marks scored in the plus 1 this year because of low marks scored by the plus- 1 students in their first board examinations.

It is important to note that the total marks for both plus 1 as well as plus 2 have been reduced to 600 marks this year from the 1200 marks. Plus 1 marks would be taken into account for consolidating the plus 2 marks. This year in the board examinations, only 4.29 % students got above 500 out of total 600 marks. The shocking piece of information is just 82 % have scored above 500 in the science stream. Beginning next week, the government would start training the teachers under the new syllabus. This was confirmed by the school education minister.
