Tambaram turns into the third terminal in Chennai

Tambaram to follow Chennai Central and Egmore in becoming a Terminal. Towards the eastern side of Tambaram, the new terminal is set up. The initiative was taken by Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain.
Train 16191/16192 Antoyadaya Express flying between Tambaram and Tirunelveli was flagged off as a start to the train service. This is notably a fully unreserved train.
The minister says this is a very important project because of too much saturation at Egmore and Basin Bridge. In order to function new trains that are in demand, especially the ones to southern districts, a lot of maintenance facilities are required. This railway facility at Tambaram is a solution to the same.
According to what Pon. Radhakrishnan, the Union Minister of State has to say, there is multifold increase in the infrastructure of Indian Railways.
