Prices of the new textbooks for the 1st, 6th and 9th Standards

The Tamil Nadu Text Books and Educational Services Corporation has announced the prices of the new text books as per the revised syllabus for the 1st, 6th, and 9th Standards.
1st Standard
The consolidated textbook for the 1st term - Section-1 ( Tamil and English) � Rs. 80. 1st term � Section-2 (Mathematics and Environmental Science) � Rs. 70. The Tamil Book for CBSE schools � Rs. 100
6th Standard
1st Term � consolidated text Book, Section-1 (Tamil and English) � Rs. 90. Section-2 (Mathematics) � Rs. 90. Section-3 � (Science and Social Studies) � Rs. 120. Tamil text Book for CBSE � Rs. 120.
9th Standard
1st term � consolidated textbook � Section-1 (Tamil and English) � Rs. 120. Section-2 (Mathematics) � Rs. 100. Section-3 (Science) � Rs. 130. Section � 4 (Social Science) � Rs. 150. CBSE Tamil Text Book � Rs. 150.
As a final decision on the titles of the textbooks for 11th Standard is yet to be decided, the prices of the text books have not been announced yet. It is expected shortly.
So, the prices of the textbooks for 1st, 6th, and 9th Standards have been fixed. Textbooks for the other classes are sold as per the existing prices. The state government has decided to increase the prices of the textbooks for the other classes from the next academic year.
