Now Chennai city buses will have CCTV Cameras

Due to several reasons and problems facing by our country the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Limited to fix CCTV cameras in closed-door buses. The awareness was created by the society on several protest against Delhi Gang Rape incidents the officials and Authorities are taking precautionary methods to curtails these kinds of crimes against women.
Fixing of CCTV Cameras may reduce the crime against women and several other crimes including Pick pockets, Foot Board Travelling etc..Though Such cameras are already fixed in the 100-odd air-conditioned buses in Chennai. Many Passengers feel that the same should be the case with all the buses with closed doors.
Nowadays womens travel from place to place from one to another are afraid of travelling on late night because of increasing Crime rate. By the officials monitoring the crime will be decreased. And the Bus Drivers and Conductors are to be trained to maintain the cameras.
