Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) developed a user friendly android application, mAadhaar App, to enable Aadhaar Card holders to have all their details fetched on to the app that can be used and retrieved later in many other Public applications or formalities.
The e-KYC process for banking, mutual funds, Investments and other proof oriented processes can be done digitally on a paperless verification system through this App.
Currently this Application of UIDAI works only the Android platform and the application for iOS users is still on the development phase and will be soon launched. All the details in the Aadhaar cars will be present inside the mAadhaar App which makes the identification process easier than carrying it as a hard copy or in an original format.
The mAadhaar App runs only on Android mobile with 5.0 Lollipop Version of Operating System.
Replacing Aadhaar Cards
The mAadhaar App for the individual users on the registered mobile number will be solely taken as a proof on any e-KYC or other verifications, a possible replacement for carrying Aadhaar card everywhere.
Security
The mAadhaar App comes with a biometric system to lock and unlock the app for the security purpose of individual android users. The impression will enable to retrieve the data and once done it can be locked so that any misuse of the information when the loss of the mobile can be easily avoided.
Transferring Data
The App has a special QR code enabling option to transfer all the details of the individual Aadhaar card in e-KYC process for verification and updating the profile.
Multiple Data
The mAadhaar App enables the storage of three Aadhaar card information on one smart Phone, provided that all the Aadhaar card entities have the same registered mobile number.
