TN government announces the Pongal gift package

The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced a Pongal festival gift package for the state public.
In a special announcement from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for the families holding Rice ration Cards, Police ration Cards, and Sri Lankan Tamil families, a special Pongal festival gift package with following items will be given before Pongal in the ration shops:
- Raw rice � 1 kg
- Sugar � 1 kg
- Sugarcane piece � 2�
- Cashewnuts � 20 grams
- Dried Grapes and cardamom � 5 grams each
About 1. 74 Crore families will enjoy this benefit of Pongal gift package.
