EPFO eases life certificate filing procedure for pensioners

As a move to ease the tiresome procedures for pensioners, EPFO - the retirement fund body has deadened the submissions of life certificates and other kinds of online submissions.
In a statement on Wednesday, the EPFO has relaxed all provisions in submission of Jeevan Parmaan certificate, making the procedure very easy.
If the pensioner provides genuine reasons for not being able to submit the digital Jeevan Parmaan, the EPFO body shall accept life certificate of any kind.
If a pensioner has already provided digital submissions during last year, they need not submit again for this year. They can rather submit it digitally or give out paper-based certificate at the bank branches where they draw pension.
According to the new terms, it is necessary to submit Jeevan Parmann digitally if they have not done so even once so far.
At all the EPFO offices, pension disbursing banks and common service centres, the Jeevan Parmann submission facility is provided.
