Anna University give last chance to those holding arrears

Here is the last chance to all those who�ve failed in all arrear attempts and exhausted the available time duration to take up arrear exams. The Anna University has come up with one last chance to all these students.
A circular rolled out in August by the Higher Education Department states that all the candidates of the University�s undergraduate and postgraduate programs holding arrears shall be disallowed to take up exams. This was due to the difficulty in accommodating all such candidates which consumes over 2 months for the entire semester.
Apart from eating out the vacation time for students, this also hindered internships, the officials said. However, the students with arrears seem to have approached requesting for one more chance for completing the course.
Hence, in a release issued on Thursday, the officer of the controller of examination said students who have got admitted after the year 2000 including UG and PG in full or part time, students belonging to affiliated colleges and those who have got enrolled after the year 2001 (from third semester), and 2002 (from first semester) and those in autonomous colleges for distance education shall be given a final chance.
