Chennai’s most developed areas like Medavakkam, Tank road & new Avadi roads are ready for their new overlay of widening roads which was delayed of three years added a new life to the chennaites.
The work may begin after January where the monsoon climate gets over.Chennai corporation officials said on Monday. By widening the road it can solve the problem of more traffic problems randomly at peak hours morning 8:00am,6:00pm & even after late evening. Which gives problem to school children, employees & even for an ordinary layman.
Even though the road widening project is made after that the traffic overflow would be redirected tofour lanes.for facilitating the public a new traffic signal was placed in the junction of Ayanavarm road& Medavakkam tank road.as a part of the project the officials said that not only widening the road but also demolishing the walls of the institute of mental health & metro water sewage board which they are severely damaged in monsoon.which was to be sifter inner to 5 meters inside for the facility of widening the road.
Moreover the widening of road project was in progress the residents of the Medavakkam said that the public road sides are fully occupied parking lots by auto rickshaws & car owners for their private purposes which even gives more problem to the public though the road is walls(institute of mental health,Metro Water Sewage Board).the places were also not in use.the officials said that as soon as possible the problems will be cleared quickly.
