Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu today

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu today (Friday, 16th June) due to the formation of a thermal convection.
The centre officials explained there is a low-pressure zone formed over the areas of Telangana and Rayalaseema. It has stabilised. Due to the formation of thermal convection, there are prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu today.
There are good prospects of heavy rain in the next 4 days in the Karnataka coastal area and for 3 days in Andhra and Telangana regions.
