Amma driving schools in Trichy, Madurai and Salem

The state transport minister had announced in the Legislative Assembly on 29th August 2016 that in order to provide training for the drivers employed in the state government departments, Amma driving schools will be set up in the regional government motor vehicle workshop centres in Madurai, Trichy, and Salem.
Subsequently, a detailed study was undertaken by the director of the department of the motor vehicle maintenance and a report with recommendations was submitted.
Approving this report, permission has been granted to commence driving schools in Trichy, Madurai, and Salem. A fund of Rs. 2.49 Crores has been allotted for this purpose.
