Petrol Price hiked by Rs 1.23 a litre, Diesel by 89 paise

Petrol price was on Wednesday hiked by Rs. 1.23 per litre and diesel price increased by 89 paise per litre. Revised rates will take effect from midnight.
The hike announced by oil companies is excluding state levies. Rates will differ from state to state due to differential local sales tax or VAT rates.
After the price revision, a litre of petrol in Chennai will now cost Rs. 69.93 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 59.22 per litre.
