Tata, Volkswagen and Skoda to join hands for newer, better products

There were reports about this earlier. And now, the Memorandum of Understanding as announced by Tata motors reads the same. Tata and Volkswagen Group and Skoda are joining hands for a long term partnership and all set to explore opportunities of jointly developing products.
Guenter Butschek, the CEO and MD of Tata Motors, Matthias Mueller, the CEO of Volkswagen AG and Bernhard Maier, the CEO of Skoda Auto had signed the contract. Skoda Auto will take the lead in developing vehicles for the economic segment. They will begin with the developmental works on behalf of Volkswagen Group.
Volkswagen will be sharing its engine technologies with Tata Motors. Tata Motors will make arrangements with its platform not just for VW, but for Skoda as well. This joint work will thus launch products in Indian market starting from the year 2019.
When Tata Motors unleashed the sub-brand TAMO, it addressed issues about how it can eligibly cater to demands faster. It was further stated that TAMO will serve as an open platform for networking with global start-ups and lead tech companies to make use of trends, innovations and solutions for excellence in future products and services.
